Lose 20 pounds in 6 months

Lose 20 pounds in 6 months.

That’s what the doctor told me to do.

I went in for a diabetic checkup.

My A1C is 5.7!

For those of you unfamiliar with what the hell that means, 5.6 or lower is not diabetic. I’m almost there!!!

My blood sugar is fairly stable with the medication and diet that I have been following.

The diet sucks!

No grains, no sugar, no high carb fruits or veggies or dairy products.

I eat a lot of meat, cheese, nuts, and low carb veggies. I eat some sugar free candy, not a lot cuz it can screw up my gut. I eat a little bit of berries. I have a little half and half in my chai tea.

I’ve done rather well for 4 months sticking to it.

But I’m really missing CARBS!!!

The doctor said I can have some carbs if 90% of the time I’m sticking to the low carb plan. YAY!!!

In 2022 I dropped 40 pounds using intuitive eating. That means eating what I want, when I want, how much I want, as long as I’m listening to my body. I think I’ll try to implement that with low carb eating.

I’ve been using Reiki on myself to help heal diabetes too.

I’ll also be using Reiki to help me lose weight.

What is Magick?

What is Magick?

What is Magick? The kind spelled with the k.

Magick is the study and application of psychic forces.

It uses mental training, concentration, and a system of symbols to program the mind.

The purpose of magick is to alter the self and the environment according to the will.

 A little history…

Most of the magick we see today comes to us from ancient Egypt and Chaldea. The Chinese, Hindus, and Tibetans developed their own unique types of Magick.

Western Magick was locked up by the Egyptian priests for thousands of years and then suppressed by the rise of Christianity. It was not until medieval Europe that the alchemists and Cabalists rediscovered Magickal knowledge.

Only during the past hundred years or so has western culture been open minded enough to permit widespread investigation of the subject. Only since the start of the twentieth century has science shown much interest in it all.

There are many different forms of magick, each with its own unique practices and beliefs.

Some of the most common forms of magick include:

  • Wicca: Wicca is a modern pagan religion that emphasizes the use of magick for personal and spiritual growth. Wiccans often practice rituals such as circle casting, spell casting, and divination.

  • Chaos magick: Chaos magick is a non-traditional form of magick that emphasizes the importance of individual creativity and experimentation. Chaos magicians often use a variety of techniques, such as sigils, invocations, and meditation, to achieve their goals.

  • Hedge witchcraft: Hedge witchcraft is a folk tradition that emphasizes the use of local herbs, plants, and animals in magick. Hedge witches often work with spirits and deities from their local area.

  • Traditional witchcraft: Traditional witchcraft is a system of magick that has been passed down through generations. Traditional witches often use a variety of tools, such as wands, cauldrons, and tarot cards, in their practice.

  • Ritual magick: Ritual magick is a form of magick that uses specific rituals and procedures to achieve desired results. Ritual magicians often work with a variety of deities, spirits, and other entities.

These are just a few of the many different forms of magick that exist. There is no one right way to practice magick, and what works for one person may not work for another. The most important thing is to find a form of magick that resonates with you and that you feel comfortable with.

It is also important to note that magick is not always about achieving specific goals. Sometimes, the purpose of magick is simply to connect with the divine, to explore the unknown, or to express oneself creatively. Magick can be a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation, but it is also important to remember that it is not a substitute for science or medicine.

Forms of magick that I use:

  • Meditation

  • Crystals

  • Pendulums

  • Oracle Cards

  • Tarot Cards

  • Journaling

  • Manifestation

  • Energy Healing

  • Astrology

  • Human Design

  • Grounding in nature

  • Intention

I consider myself an Eclectic Witch. I pick and choose what I like and use that for as long as it feels like it's working.

What magick do you use?
